Treatments
As an Outdoor Psychologist, you can come to me with Burnout and stress-related complaints. I am also happy to help you get back on track if you are stuck in your studies or work. I have noticed that therapy in the open air and while walking has a good influence on people with ASD or ADHD. Who need to be helped in a slightly different way than in a treatment room.
Walking therapy
During therapy we will be moving outside. This has a positive effect on our body and brain. By moving our body our brain also gets moving. This produces positive substances such as dopamine that set us in motion. This makes it easier for some people to break away and talk about things. During therapy I use principles from cognitive behavioral therapy and ACT.
Runningtherapie
Are you a real athlete like me and does it help you to be physically active? Then running therapy might be something for you. We will then have a conversation while running and look for your limits. Running therapy can have a positive effect for people with mood disorders. Based on the intake, we will see what suits you best and whether running therapy can help you.
Shinrin-Yoku (Bosbaden)
During our outdoor session I would like to go to the forest with you. Being in nature has a positive effect on our well-being and a lot of research is being done into this nowadays. For example, we know that walking outside in nature for half an hour a day already has a stress-reducing effect. During my session I will look with you at what brings you peace and to listen more to yourself through your natural environment.
